Job summary

Swarm Aero is building the world's first swarming UAV network and the Command & Control software to enable thousands of autonomous assets. The role offers early involvement in architecture and a chance to shape how humans command autonomous systems at scale.

You'll work across the stack, from problem statements to deployment, with strong CI/CD, and contribute to real-time distributed systems. Compensation ranges $170k–$220k with meaningful equity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent self-taught depth.
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, systems.
• Evidence you've built something hard (renderer, emulator, game, compiler, multiplayer server, robotics project).
• Comfort writing code at multiple layers of the stack.
• Willingness to work on unknown problems and to be wrong in public on the way to finding it.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features in the C2 system that directs swarms of heterogeneous aircraft.
• Maintain stateful, responsive systems when comms degrade or drop.
• Move between interface layer and services behind it, following the problem.
• Prototype new representations of telemetry, sensor data, and scheduling.
• Take features end-to-end from rough problem to design, implementation, and deployment.
• Ship early and often with strong CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps.
