Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Software Engineer, C++ to help advance Starlink’s satellite internet platform. You’ll develop real-time software across gateways, satellites, and user terminals, participate in architecture reviews, and drive prototypes and experiments that prove key concepts.

As part of a fast-paced team, you’ll deploy reliable software, contribute to testing, and enhance data analysis and visualization within a flexible, high-performance computing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of software development experience.
• Development experience in C, C++, or assembly.
• Experience in real-time, performance-critical software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable real-time software for gateways, satellites, and user terminals.
• Lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Create prototypes and run experiments to validate design concepts.
• Build tools for development, deployment, data analysis, and test execution across environments.
• Integrate software into a CI/CD release pipeline with testing and validation.
