Job summary

Banderel Technologies is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop real-time sensing and imaging software in an in-person Santa Fe role. You will design and maintain systems that process multimodal sensor data, integrate ML models, and connect hardware with software ecosystems.

You will collaborate with scientists and partners to turn research into deployable software, shaping architecture and product development in a growing R&D environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in CS/SE/EE/Robotics/Applied Physics or related field.
• Strong Python development experience in production-grade systems.
• Experience in Linux environments and modern development practices.
• Familiar with version control, testing and debugging.
• Experience creating user-facing apps, data visualization, APIs, or prod software.
• Experience integrating software with hardware, sensors or instrumentation.
• Exposure to PyTorch, TensorFlow, SciPy or similar ML frameworks.
• Comfortable in an early-stage R&D environment with evolving priorities.
• Ability to obtain security clearance; may be limited to U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for sensing, timing, imaging technologies.
• Build software for real-time anomaly detection and signal integrity monitoring.
• Create data processing pipelines for multimodal sensor systems.
• Integrate ML models and external technologies into broader software ecosystems.
• Design interfaces between sensing hardware, software services, and analytics tools.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and partners to deploy research ideas.
• Contribute to software architecture, planning, and product development efforts.
