Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a technical degree.
• Experience evolving software architecture in production environments and managing technical debt.
• At least 2+ years working on a single codebase or product.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Rust and Python; solid math background.
• Familiarity with big data pipelines and NoSQL databases.
• Engineering robust systems for estimation theory and sensor data.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team with subject-matter expertise in tracking and state estimation.
• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems; refactor legacy code for performance and scalability.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for tracking and multi-sensor data fusion.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems and simulation environments.
• Design and implement robust filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning for noisy data.
• Apply software design patterns and architectural best practices to reduce technical debt.
• Analyze system performance using simulations and statistical techniques to validate benefits.
• Drive customer success by tailoring algorithms for mission-critical use cases.
• Integrate tracking and estimation technologies through the full development lifecycle.
