Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology leader based in Washington, DC, seeks a Software Engineer focused on robotics tracking and fusion. You will design state-estimation algorithms, implement high-performance real-time software, and drive sensor fusion across multi-sensor data streams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in designing algorithms and software with C/C++, Python, and Matlab.
• Experience with target tracking algorithms: Kalman filters, particle filters, JPDA/MHT/PHD.
• State estimation and sensor fusion experience.
• Strong applied mathematics: linear algebra, optimization, probability.
• Signal processing for radar, lidar, EO/IR data.
• Experience with big data pipelines and NoSQL databases.
• Machine learning applications to tracking and anomaly detection.
• Engineering robust systems for estimation and adaptive filtering.
• Experience from prototyping to production deployment.
• Eligibility for active U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team, focusing on target tracking and state estimation.
• Prototype and deploy tracking, multi-sensor fusion, and state estimation algorithms.
• Develop high-performance real-time software for tactical and simulation environments.
• Design and implement filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning from noisy data.
• Analyze system performance using simulations and statistical techniques.
• Drive customer success by customizing algorithms for mission-critical use cases.
• Integrate tracking technologies into the software lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Translate progress into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
