Job summary

ProFrac is seeking a Reservoir Engineer / Geomechanics Lead to guide the development of the Reservoir Contact Index (RCI) within the Machina platform, leading real-time precursor scoring and basin calibration. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, translate early-stage methods into product-ready capabilities, and drive validation with field data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field relevant to reservoir engineering or geophysics.
• Direct experience interpreting micro seismic data with unconventional completions.
• Knowledge of geomechanics, stress states, and fracture propagation mechanics.
• Experience with statistical or quantitative modeling using field data.
• Ability to translate research into deployed product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Refine RCI component-weighting with geomechanical and fracture-network parameters.
• Lead architecture and validation of real-time in-stage precursor scoring for RCI.
• Develop methodologies for automation to respond to reservoir-quality signals during a stage.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to translate methodologies into product specs.
• Calibrate RCI across basins using Bayesian or equivalent methods.
• Travel to field sites as needed.
