The role requires unescorted access to critical assets and a background investigation per NERC CIP standards. Experience level varies by job family; 24x7 coverage and market operations knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; or 5+ years in generation, bulk electric system ops, and/or wholesale markets.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Ability to obtain NERC system operator certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate generator availability and maximize asset value.
• Dispatch generation resources in real time to support reliability.
• Forecast loads using forecasting tools, weather data, and history.
• Create demand bids for Day Ahead and Real Time markets.
• Ensure compliance with MISO, RFC/MRO rules and market practices.
