Dairyland Power Cooperative in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Power Marketing Trader I to monitor hourly load forecasts and coordinate with the System Operation Center to meet MISO obligations. You will manage unit limits and schedules, bid loads and generation, and analyze price and cost data within defined trading limits.

The role emphasizes next-day trading, risk management adherence, and collaboration with the marketing team to set and reach goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard energy products and wholesale power markets.
• Understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
• Experience or knowledge in energy trading, scheduling, and contracts.

Responsabilités

• Bid loads and generation offers in MISO Day Ahead and Real Time markets.
• Monitor market portals and ensure unit capabilities are accurately represented.
• Execute energy transactions within trading limits and follow RAC processes.
• Assist in developing marketing goals and sharing market intelligence.
• Stay informed on MISO procedures, regulatory changes, and industry papers.
