Job summary

Path Robotics seeks a Perception Engineer to own the vision and real-time control loop on embedded hardware. You will ensure robust perception in degraded conditions, perform geometric estimation, and defend sensing choices with data.

You will contribute to setting the technical direction as the perception stack evolves toward learned methods. We value strong production C++, ROS 2 expertise, and the ability to measure system-wide latency end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience closing a real-time loop on real hardware.
• Strong depth in classical vision and 3-D geometry.
• Experience with real-time segmentation or feature extraction on degraded imagery.
• Production-grade C++ and ROS 2 experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end real-time perception pipeline on embedded hardware.
• Ensure robustness when signal is degraded and detect failure.
• Perform geometric estimation against a known model and validate measurements.
• Evaluate sensing options and defend choices with data.
• Help set technical direction toward learned methods.
