Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join the NASAMS team in Tewksbury, MA. You will design, develop, test, and deliver mission-critical software that supports Detect, Decide, Engage, and Destroy functionalities within a state-of-the-art air defense system. You will work on an agile team with DevSecOps practices and interface with systems engineers.

The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of experience in C++, Java, or Python, along with Agile methods. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with programming languages (C++, Java, Python).
• Experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deliver real-time software for NASAMS on an agile team.
• Support target acquisition, threat evaluation, missile firing, and terminal guidance software.
• Develop and maintain software solutions with CI/CD in a DevSecOps environment.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure software integrates with NASAMS hardware and other systems.
