Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Software Sub-CPT Lead for the NASAMS Eurobundle program, onsite in Tewksbury, MA. You will oversee software development, lead agile teams, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of mission-critical capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software leadership, strong C/C++ skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required; Bachelor’s in STEM is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years or prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience with agile development frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.
• Experience leading and mentoring agile software team(s).

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks and opportunities (R&O), and estimate at completion (EAC) in collaboration with CAM and CPTL.
• Coordinate with NASAMS Software Product Owners to plan and execute scope using agile methodologies.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including the Chief Product Owner (CPO), Systems Engineering (SE), Systems Integration and Test (SI&T), and Life-Cycle Engineering (LCE), to align execution plans.
• Represent Software Engineering in key program meetings, such as Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and gate reviews.
• Provide ad-hoc support for program proposals and related documentation.

The Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) software department within Raytheon is looking for a skilled and motivated Software Sub-CPT Lead to oversee the development and maintenance of software for the NASAMS Eurobundle program, supporting high-impact deliverables for multiple international customers. The Software Lead will report to the NASAMS Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL) and will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of software deliverables through effective leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position is onsite in Tewksbury, MA.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. This position requires a security clearance.

What You Will Do

• RTX Earned Value Certification and or BOE writer certification.
• Experience with oversight of cost, schedule and technical performance of one or more software team(s).
• Experience with Risk and Opportunity management.
• Experience with Software Leadership and/or Software Architecture on complex, large scale systems or a related industry certification.
• Experience with Software Development in a DoD environment.
• Experience with cost estimation and developing government technical proposals.
• Experience in the development of radar systems and missile technologies, with an understanding of their integration into larger systems.
• Experience with embedded system development, including real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level software development.
