Job summary

TikTok is seeking engineers for the Media Network team to design and optimize a real-time distributed media system powering live streaming and RTC scenarios. You will tackle stability, cost efficiency, and quality improvements on a global scale, collaborating across multiple teams to deploy robust, secure infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with large-scale production infrastructure and expertise in live streaming technologies, CDN architectures, and multimedia processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong experience in analyzing and optimizing complex systems, focusing on cost-effectiveness, stability, and quality.
• Solid understanding of live streaming technologies, CDN architectures, and multimedia processing.
• 2 years hands on experience working with large-scale, production-level infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Stability enhancements: design resilient, decoupled systems and implement automated recovery.
• Cost optimization: analyze infrastructure usage and lead cost-saving initiatives.
• Quality improvement: identify issues affecting service quality and enhance security and reliability.
