Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Logistics Specialist for a well-known logistics delivery partner based in Loxley, AL. You will route-monitor in real time and send hourly reports, communicating with delivery teams and customers with strong customer service and phone skills.

Responsibilities include order entry, routing, dispatching and traffic coordination. This full-time, temporary to hire position offers an hourly pay rate of $18.00.

Qualifications

• 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of transportation industry.
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to written, verbal or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; update receivers and customers on load status.
• Take calls from drivers, ensure loads deliver on time; validate data before marking loads delivered for accounting.
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and document appropriately.
• Schedule/reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept/decline loads as directed by account managers.
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.
