Job summary

City of Gulfport seeks a RTIC Analyst to collect and analyze crime data, delivering real-time intelligence to patrol, investigations and command staff. You will use CAD/RMS, video and mapping tools to support operations and share critical information with partners.

The role is non-sworn and essential during emergencies, requiring the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while maintaining privacy and data security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems or related field.
• Proven experience in analytical research or data-driven work.
• Experience in law enforcement, public safety, RTIC operations, GIS/mapping or technology programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects, analyzes, and interprets crime and operational data to identify trends and patterns.
• Provides real-time analytical support during incidents, patrols and investigations.
• Maintains situational awareness by synthesizing data from multiple sources.
• Utilizes RMS, CAD, video systems and mapping tools to support operations.
• Collaborates with patrol, dispatch, investigators and partner agencies for information sharing.
• Participates in RTIC and crime analysis training and related courses.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
