The University of Oregon's CAS Earth Sciences - Oregon Hazard Lab seeks a Multi-Hazards Field Engineer based in Eugene, OR. The role focuses on real-time monitoring systems, telemetry, and data acquisition to support research and public safety, requiring travel across Oregon.

You will design, test, calibrate, deploy, and maintain digital monitoring equipment, coordinate with federal/state partners, and document procedures and system designs.

Formación

• B.S. in engineering field is required.
• Two years of relevant experience with design, testing, deployment, maintenance of electronic/instrumentation systems.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and carry equipment up to 75 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee design, testing, and maintenance of digital monitoring systems and related telemetry.
• Prototype, test, calibrate, deploy, and maintain digital monitoring equipment and associated communications systems.
• Coordinate with federal/state/local agencies to define best practices and communicate innovations.
• Prepare clear documentation such as procedures and maintenance records.
