University of Oregon's Oregon Hazards Lab seeks a Multi-Hazards Field Engineer based in Eugene, OR. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain digital monitoring and telemetry systems to support real-time research data and public safety.

Role requires travel across Oregon and adjacent states, independent work, and collaboration with federal, state, and local agencies to implement best practices and document procedures and data-quality records.

Qualifikationen

• BS in engineering or related field; two years of relevant experience in design, testing, deployment, maintenance, or troubleshooting of electronic, instrumentation, or data acquisition systems.
• Experience applying engineering standards and leading technical tasks with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Design, test, calibrate, deploy, and maintain digital monitoring equipment and telemetry systems.
• Oversee field deployments and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to implement best practices.
• Maintain documentation such as procedures, system designs, maintenance records, and data-quality records.
• Operate in outdoor environments and carry equipment up to 75 lbs as needed.
