Tereina in San Diego is hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web apps and the APIs that power them. You will focus on secure, responsive UIs with scalable backend services for real-time payments in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Join a cross-functional, agile team reporting to the Engineering Manager; contribute across the stack, own features end-to-end, and help raise our platform's reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with fullstack focus on frontend and backend APIs.
• Strong experience with ReactJS and TypeScript; backend API experience required.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Hands-on testing experience with Jest, Cypress, Playwright.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and secure financial software.

Responsibilities

• Frontend development: Build modern, responsive, secure React UI with TypeScript.
• UI frameworks: Create enterprise-grade components using React libraries.
• Backend development: Design and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Database & data management: Model data and work with SQL/NoSQL securely.
• Real-time systems: Implement websockets and messaging for real-time payments.
• Testing & quality: Write tests with Jest, Cypress, Playwright; participate in code reviews.
• Web security: Apply security practices including CSP, encryption, vulnerability assessment.
• Performance optimization: Cache, CDNs, monitoring for scalability and observability.
• Collaboration: Work with Product/Design/Platform in an agile environment.
• Mentorship: Mentor juniors and lead by example in code reviews.
