Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, code, and integrate embedded software for weapon control systems within a Battle Management System portfolio. You will work on multiple projects, from microcontroller firmware to simulators with GUIs, while collaborating with a 15-person engineering team.

You will support installation, testing, and field assessments at local and external sites, contributing to mission-critical capabilities in a fast-paced, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience with a weapon system application.
• At least 3 years designing and engineering embedded software solutions.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or C++ with GUI development and TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and engineer embedded software for weapon control systems across multiple Battle Management System projects.
• Develop software for embedded microcontrollers with real-time performance.
• Create simulators and interactive GUIs to support development, testing, and demonstrations.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware-software interfaces using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
