Job summary

EOS Defense Systems USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead to direct a small team in designing and integrating embedded software for Remote Weapon Systems. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality delivery for on-site development programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience with a focus on embedded systems.
• Experience with Microchip microcontrollers/microprocessors, their development ecosystems, and C/C++ bare-metal/RTOS.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance in a Government Contracting environment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; willingness to travel for customer reviews or test ranges.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for the software engineering team, guiding design, development, and integration of complex software for Remote Weapon Systems (RWS).
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to accelerate growth and foster a collaborative cross-functional environment.
• Manage tasks, priorities, and resources across concurrent programs to meet milestones.
• Ensure ownership, quality, reliability, and on-time delivery of software products.
• Maintain schedules, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with aerospace/defense standards.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical leads to integrate software into weapon platform architectures.
• Travel to support customer reviews, field integration, and live-fire test operations.
