Job summary

fab2 in Austin, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Software Lead to own software for in-house hardware, from assembly to end-of-line test. You will architect device software, provisioning, calibration, and dedicated test tooling, while delivering firmware and host applications.

You will design automated test/calibration systems and collaborate with engineers, mentoring team members, and upholding coding standards in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/EE/Physics or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years developing software for manufacture or test of physical products.
• Proficiency in C and Python; working knowledge of electronics.

Responsibilities

• Own software for manufacturing, testing, and calibrating fab2 hardware.
• Architect software for device assembly, provisioning, calibration, and end-of-line test.
• Implement firmware and software changes in production equipment and build test software.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on test station design and implementation.
• Uphold code and testing standards; hire and mentor team members.
