Job summary

SMXTech Pty Ltd. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in C++ to join a small, mission-focused data processing team.

You will develop high-performance, real-time applications for remote sensing data and work directly with architects to optimize signal processing chains in constrained environments. The role requires 8+ years in C++/Linux, embedded systems experience, and the ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high-performance C++ applications within Linux environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Experience with embedded systems and hardware acceleration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize real-time C++ applications for mission data processing signal chains.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Algorithm Engineers to tune processing chains for data.
• Contribute to robust, repeatable, and adaptable signal processing architecture.
• Work on low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) deployments such as Versal ACAP devices.
• Ensure designs are documented, tested, and integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
