Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a DSP Software Engineer to develop real-time signal processing algorithms powering space-based communications and sensing systems.

You will design, implement, and optimize software that analyzes high-speed data streams in resource-constrained environments, interfacing with FPGA, RF, avionics, and embedded teams. You will own mission-critical software impacting spacecraft performance, with opportunities to validate through HIL, labs, and flight testing, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 5+ years of professional DSP software experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Solid understanding of DSP fundamentals and real-time algorithms.
• Experience on embedded processors and Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Python or MATLAB for development/validation.
• Experience collaborating with hardware/FPGA teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize real-time DSP algorithms for flight systems.
• Implement high-performance software in C/C++ for embedded/real-time use.
• Develop algorithms for filtering, modulation, demodulation, synchronization, channel estimation, beamforming, and spectral analysis.
• Optimize for latency, throughput, memory usage, and power efficiency.
• Collaborate with FPGA engineers to partition algorithms between software and FPGA."
• Integrate DSP capabilities with RF, avionics, and systems engineering.
