Job summary

Path Robotics is searching for a software engineer to help build real-time back-end and robotics systems. You will design modular, concurrent architectures for perception, planning, and execution, and contribute to field-ready AI that is reliable and continuously improving.

You will integrate sensors and industrial robots with ROS2, debug real-time motion control, and write unit and integration tests. A BS in CS/Robotics or equivalent hands-on experience and 1–2 years in production robotics are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS, Robotics Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–2 years in production robotics, C++ systems with real-world deployment or equivalent experience. Strong C++ proficiency preferred.
• Experience with ROS2 (publishers/subscribers, services, node lifecycle, or equivalent).
• Comfortable with CMake, colcon workspaces, and dependency management.
• Solid multithreading/concurrency skills — thread-safe, real-time, deterministic systems.
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD, and containerized deployments (Docker).

Responsibilities

• Design modular, concurrent, and distributed systems for perception, planning, and execution — strong multithreading and synchronization
• Develop robotic welding features with automated testing, optimized for real-time, deterministic behavior
• Integrate computer vision, motion planning, and control systems with industrial robots
• Debug complex issues across real-time motion control, perception pipelines, and multi-package integration
• Conduct code reviews and write comprehensive unit and integration tests
