Job summary

HART Technologies, Inc. in Dahlgren, VA is seeking a mid-level C++ Engineer to build real-time tactical software and contribute to hardware-in-the-loop platforms on Linux.

You will design, test, and deploy C++ applications, implement network synchronization for distributed systems, and support the full software lifecycle from architecture to onsite integration. A BS in a technical field and 3+ years of C++ experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, science or technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience with modern C++ and the Standard Library (maps, threading, iterators).
• Proficiency in Linux development (kernel, build systems, debugging).
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy C++ applications for real-time tactical environments.
• Implement network-synchronization layers for distributed systems.
• Support the full software lifecycle from architecture through onsite integration on platforms.
• Partner with subject-matter experts to translate system requirements into reliable code.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software systems.
