Job summary

Hart Technologies, Inc. in Dahlgren, VA seeks talented Software Engineers for an onsite tactical development team.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy real-time software for Navy systems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary group and applying Agile practices. Qualified applicants hold a Bachelor's degree, 5 years of software engineering experience, 2 years with Navy/Joint systems, US citizenship with DoD clearance eligibility, and proficiency in Windows/Linux with C/C++ or Java.

HART Technologies, Inc. is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our onsite tactical software development team in Dahlgren, VA. Successful applicants will perform software design, development, coding, testing, and integration tasks across various software applications, while considering systems engineering, software assurance, and testing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test and deploy software in Java (Incl. Swing, FX) for real‑time tactical and simulation applications supporting Navy Systems.
• Work closely a talented multi-disciplinary team to understand performance and verification requirements for high‑performance tactical systems.
• Provide inputs to system architecture and design as part of a Tactical Software Development team.
• Develop software under Agile Design paradigms and collaborative coding techniques.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience in software engineering applied to program development, modeling, and/or simulation.
• 2 years of experience with Navy or Joint systems.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
• Software development proficiency in:
• Windows or Linux

Desired

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Proficiency with multiple languages (C++, Python, C, Java, Lua).
• Experience with Java based Network Communication.
• Prior experience with tactical control systems is highly desired.
• Active DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience using a Linux operating system.
• Prior experience with development of large network integrated real‑time software systems.

Compensation Range

$75K-$95K
