Ormat Technologies seeks a Battery Storage Operator to manage real-time operations of our battery portfolio and monitor grid conditions. You will coordinate actions with ISOs, schedulers, and asset managers to ensure reliable operation and compliance with NERC standards.

The role requires staying current with market information, executing timely actions, and maintaining thorough documentation while contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet storm/event duty requirements and extended shifts.
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel and Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage real-time operations of battery storage portfolio and dispatching per economic conditions.
• Coordinate with ISO, Scheduling Coordinators, and asset management for outages and startups.
• Ensure compliance with NERC and ISO rules and tariffs.
• Monitor market information to identify dispatching and trading opportunities.
• Maintain documentation, participate in process improvements and tool enhancements.
