Job summary

Wabash Valley Power Alliance in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Manager of Battery Energy Storage Operations to lead the safe, reliable performance of our utility-scale battery assets and oversee maintenance programs, OT, and vendor partnerships.

You will serve as the subject matter expert on battery operations, collaborate with stakeholders, and help maximize asset value while guiding a growing team of technicians. This role supports regional grid reliability and energy innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Five+ years in utility operations, battery storage, or related field.
• Three+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with battery storage systems, SCADA, and utility assets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation and maintenance of utility-scale battery energy storage assets.
• Drive reliability, safety, and performance across the battery portfolio.
• Oversee maintenance programs, SCADA systems, and OT.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and key service partnerships.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team.
• Support new battery projects, commissioning, and expansion.
