Job summary

Frontier Airlines in Denver, CO is seeking a Maintenance Controller (MCC) to manage real-time maintenance operations and serve as the primary contact for aircraft out-of-service events and fleet status.

You will coordinate recovery with Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering, SOC and vendors to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations while helping reduce downtime and schedule impact.

Qualifications

  • Must have an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Knowledge of airline maintenance practices, FARs and Frontier maintenance policies.
  • Experience combinations: 5 years line maintenance, or 2 years C-Check plus 2 years avionics troubleshooting.
  • Excellent Airbus systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to plan, organize and administer workloads.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Frontier core values.
  • Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance operations on a shift basis with positive control over out-of-service aircraft.
  • Serve as primary contact for aircraft out-of-service events and fleet status.
  • Coordinate recovery across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering and SOC.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel on technical, operational and procedural matters.
  • Authorize MEL/CDL deferrals per Frontier procedures.
  • Develop work scopes for MEL/CDL deferrals and needed material requests.
  • Authorize maintenance vendors for emergency maintenance and ferry flight inspections at non-maintenance stations.
  • Advise SOC on routing for specific maintenance requirements.
  • Exercise authority to remove an aircraft from service if maintenance is not satisfactorily completed.
  • Be in charge of contracted maintenance activities to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Ensure safety remains paramount in maintenance decisions.
  • Generate operational reports and maintain shift documentation and turnover.
  • Proactively manage deferrals that impact customer service.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the M.O.D. or Senior Manager.
