Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an ID&C Software Developer supporting the TOS II contract at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on hands-on design, development, and real-time data distribution of software systems in aeropropulsion, wind tunnel, and Hypersonics facilities, with a strong emphasis on high-speed data streaming.

The candidate will build, debug, and maintain software in C/C++ and Python, integrate DDS for low-latency data delivery,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information systems, or other STEM field.
• 2+ years in software development including design, coding, testing, and Git version control.
• Master's degree may substitute for 1 year; software internship can substitute for 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain real-time applications using C/C++ and Python.
• Define and optimize custom binary and serialized network data packets for low-latency transmission.
• Implement DDS with TCP/IP/UDP to support publish-subscribe data systems with QoS constraints.
• Develop data ingestion pipelines for storage, archiving, and real-time visualization.
