Job summary

State Highway Administration (SHA) in Maryland is seeking a Real Property Specialist I. This interview-and-hire position supports capital projects through appraisal, negotiation, relocation assistance and property management, reporting to a higher-level Real Property Specialist.

The role is open to candidates meeting the minimum qualifications; MDOT offers generous benefits and may require occasional overnight travel as part of state-wide assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• No prior work experience required.
• Substitutions for degree possible with military service or additional related real estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide appraisal, negotiation, relocation assistance and property management for the capital program under guidance of a higher-level Real Property Specialist.
• Perform duties related to acquisition of real estate for the State Highway Administration’s capital program.
