Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking an Architect to plan and design construction and renovation projects for federal real property facilities. The role involves developing comprehensive programs for major installations and overseeing large-scale facilities engineering projects.

Qualification requires a degree in architecture or related field with appropriate coursework. Specialized experience includes preparing scopes of work, contract packages, and monitoring schedules and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Degree: Architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture including 30 hours in architectural design and 6 hours in each of: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, environmental control systems.
• Combination of education and experience may be accepted with required knowledge and skills demonstrated as described.
• Specialized experience includes preparing architectural or engineering scopes of work, creating contract packages, and monitoring project schedules/cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Recommend programs and development plans for construction, renovation and improvements of real property facilities at major installations or complexes.
• Plan/design new construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities.
• Monitor large-scale facilities engineering projects.

Education

Architecture degree or related field with 60 credit hours including at least 30 in architectural design and 6 in structural technology, materials and construction methods
