Job summary

LRS Federal LLC seeks an experienced Architect (AIA preferred) to oversee federal architecture projects, from planning through construction, coordinating multi-discipline design and engineering services. The Architect will lead project teams and manage clients, schedules, and budgets for federal programs.

The role reports to the VP of Program Management, requiring strong leadership and client management skills to ensure quality and performance on government contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering or architecture design, construction management, environmental science, project management, or other related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience on Federal Government engineering or architecture projects with US Department of Defense, GSA, VA, USDA, DHS, DOI or other federal agencies.
• Excellent strategic, analytical, client management, and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive federal contracting experience, including FAR, UFC, WBDG, CQM, etc.
• Design Build experience or other delivery methods.
• Proficiency in design standards, RFI response, contract compliance, construction oversight, and project documentation.
• Expertise in design, project management and business software tools, such as CAD, SKM, Bluebeam, ProjectTeam, ProCon, Sharepoint, MS Project, Deltek, CostPoint, GovWin, DropBox, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of engineers, designers, and project managers to meet quality standards and client satisfaction.
• Facilitate team communication, coordination, and collaboration.
• Mentor less experienced employees and manage relationships with subcontractors.
• Communicate with clients and project teams, including public agencies.
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Implement quality assurance plans.
• Oversee project management and coordination across all phases to ensure client satisfaction and financial performance.
