Daily Mail US in New York is seeking an experienced US Features / Real Life Writer to craft compelling real-life and “As Told To” features, while covering showbiz, crime, health, politics, and other timely subjects. You will develop case studies, conduct interviews, and deliver polished copy to tight deadlines.

You will work closely with editors and photo editors, sourcing images and ensuring editorial integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a features journalist for digital or mass-market outlets.
• Proven ability to produce compelling real-life/As Told To features at speed.
• Strong interviewing, storytelling, and editorial judgment for engaging audiences.

Responsibilities

• Write fast, engaging 1,000–1,400-word features across real life, showbiz, celebrity, crime, health, politics, and other topics.
• Develop original interviews and case studies for compelling real-life features.
• Pitch strong story ideas daily and secure sources and interviews.
• Build and publish stories using a content management system.
• Collaborate with editors and photo editors to source compelling images.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
