Job summary

The New York Post in New York City is seeking a full-time City Life Reporter (Sunday-Thursday, 9-5pm) to deliver compelling stories about life in New York City, from Manhattan streets to Brooklyn neighborhoods. You will research, pitch, and write engaging articles on diverse city living, build sources across neighborhoods, and develop data-driven stories to inform millions of readers.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in breaking news, urban reporting, and/or data reporting.
Strong knowledge of New York City's neighborhoods, culture, and lifestyle.
Sharp writer able to deliver clean, coherent copy in The Post's signature style.
Exceptional news-gathering skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with sources and community members.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom.
Passionate about sharing stories that resonate with millions of readers.
Ability to crunch data sets and translate them into plain English for storytelling.

Responsibilities
