Job summary

Stout seeks an Intern in Real Estate to assist with expert valuation and advisory solutions across estate and gift tax, financial reporting, and due diligence. You will inspect properties on-site, conduct market research, and help prepare analyses for senior staff and clients.

You'll gain client exposure while developing technical skills, with opportunities to engage in on-site and virtual meetings and to learn valuation methodologies under experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; 3.5+ preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for client site inspections as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); familiarity with Argus preferred.
• Real Estate internship or industry experience preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the US, without employer sponsorship, at time of hire and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluations to assess financial, operational and physical characteristics.
• Perform market, industry, and property-level research to support valuation assumptions.
• Prepare due diligence questions and evaluate supporting documentation for valuation.
• Engage with market participants to gather data and ensure accuracy for valuations.
• Participate in client meetings and planning sessions, on-site and virtually.
• Analyze complex financial statements and generate strategic insights for leadership.
• Select valuation methodologies and key assumptions with independent judgment.
• Create deliverables including presentations, analysis packs, and narratives.
