Job summary

East West Bank is seeking a Real Estate Evaluation Analyst for our Appraisal team to conduct independent administrative compliance reviews of commercial and residential real estate appraisals and provide constructive feedback to appraisers or AMCs.

The role interacts with the Residential Mortgage Team to assist on elevated reports, writes evaluation reports, analyzes market trends, and communicates updates to internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Commercial and residential real estate evaluation experience and/or real estate appraisal review experience.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial real estate appraisals and the use of an evaluation report.
• Proficient navigation skills with Word, Excel, and AI.
• A real estate appraisal state license is not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent administrative compliance (non-licensed task) review of commercial and residential real estate appraisals to ensure compliance with regulatory and Bank requirements and the ability to provide constructive feedback to appraisers or 3 rd party evaluators.
• The evaluation officer is the liaison with the business line
• Act as liaison to the Residential Mortgage Team to assist them occasionally on elevated residential appraisal reports and provide recommendation and/or discuss directly with the Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs)
• Write commercial and residential real estate evaluations, validation or review reports in a timely manner
• Conduct and write a monthly and quarterly quality control report of appraisals ordered by the Residential Mortgage team.
• Analyze commercial and residential real estate trends and markets, understand overall commercial and residential valuations, perform research using internal and external tools to provide market data
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as the analyst provides regular project updates to internal stakeholders and supports reporting and administrative tasks
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized with a proven ability to work well in a high-intensity environment to complete tasks quickly and effectively
• This role may occasionally be responsible for assisting the appraisal coordinator documenting and tracking valuation orders and deadlines
• Adhoc projects as requested
