Job summary

RogueSearch is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to own real estate transactions from contracting through closing across multiple markets. You’ll procure due diligence information, including title and zoning, and draft and organize closing documents.

The role emphasizes strong written and verbal communication, organization, and collaboration with attorneys and clients to ensure a smooth closing process across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Real Estate transactional experience.
• 2+ years of experience with either land use/zoning or construction and procurement law.
• Understanding of land entitlement processes is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform legal research, fact gathering, and information retrieval both via traditional systems and computer-based research.
• Highly organized and able to track an acquisition from initial contact through closing.
• Paralegal experience and/or certification is not required, but such a skill set would be useful for this position.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and confirm legal descriptions of property based on third-party title work.
• Coordinate with municipalities, governmental agencies, and outside consultants for due diligence information.
• Draft and organize transactional documents for real estate closings.
• Review closing statements, including tax prorations and fees/charges.
• Facilitate communication between seller's counsel, closing counsel, and settlement agents.
• Coordinate acquisition file management across all aspects of an acquisition and timely steps.
