Qualifications

• 3+ years of real estate paralegal experience in law firm or comparable legal environment.
• Experience supporting commercial and residential real estate transactions from inception through closing.
• Experience reviewing title commitments, title policies, surveys, and due diligence materials.
• Experience forming business entities and filing with the Texas Secretary of State is strongly preferred.
• Paralegal Certificate and/or Texas Escrow Officer License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents for commercial and residential real estate transactions.
• Draft purchase/sale agreements, deeds, deeds of trust, loan documents, and related statements.
• Review title commitments, policies, surveys, and due diligence materials.
• Coordinate closings with clients, lenders, title companies, agents, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare closing checklists, settlements, and post-closing documentation.
• Coordinate 1031 like-kind exchange transactions.
• Form and file organizational documents and other business entity filings.
• Review lease agreements and related documents; maintain lease abstracts.
