Job summary

West77 Partners LLC is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Chief Counsel on real estate, construction, and financing work behind every project. You will handle contract-to-close tasks, title reviews, loan documents, and entity records, with ownership and impact from day one.

You will coordinate deadlines, diligence, and document execution while collaborating with title officers, lenders, and outside counsel in a lean, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years as a legal assistant, paralegal, or title/escrow professional with direct real estate transaction experience.
• Ability to work independently in a lean environment and take ownership.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to move multiple active matters.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and a document management system.
• Discretion with confidential and privileged information.

Responsibilities

• Support real estate transactions from contract to close: track deadlines, manage closing checklists, coordinate with development and title officers.
• Order and organize title commitments, surveys, and due diligence for acquisitions, financings, and dispositions.
• Coordinate document execution: signature routing, notarization, and recording with county offices.
• Work with the finance team on loan documentation, covenant deadlines, and lender requests.
• Assist with due diligence collection for acquisitions, financings, and dispositions; support contract review and redline tracking.
• Track legal deadlines, contract renewal dates, and time-sensitive items on a shared calendar.
