Qualifications

• Notary Public Certification: commission as notary public in NC or eligibility to become one.
• Real estate knowledge of transactions, mortgage documents, and closing processes.
• Familiarity with real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Printing, organizing and reviewing closing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal requirements before signing.
• Verifying the identity of signers and ensuring they understand the documents.
• Administering oaths and applying notarial seals as required by law.
• Communicating with clients to explain the purpose and significance of each document.
• Coordinate with real estate agents, title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate closings.
• Maintain accurate records of all documents and adhere to record-keeping procedures.
• Meet closing deadlines and appointments with professionalism.
