Ares Secondaries is seeking an Analyst to join the Real Estate Secondaries Investment Team in our Boston office. You will evaluate investment opportunities through due diligence, market research, and financial modeling, analyzing LP interests, GP-led transactions, and portfolios across sectors such as multifamily, industrial, and office.
Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in related roles, strong communication skills, and advanced valuation capabilities.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate secondaries or related roles.
- Strong academic record with leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced financial analysis, valuation, and modeling capabilities (DCF, NAV, property-level cash flow, portfolio valuations).
- Familiarity with real estate investment concepts and deal structures.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate real estate secondary investment opportunities through due diligence, market research, benchmarking, and financial modeling.
- Analyze real estate LP interests, GP-led transactions, continuation vehicles, and underlying assets.
- Assess property-level and fund-level performance across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and other sectors.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to committees and the investment team.
- Support execution, portfolio monitoring, asset management oversight, and valuation of investments.
- Build relationships with sponsors, operating partners, advisors, and attend industry conferences.
