CapMetro in Austin, TX is seeking an Associate Counsel II to provide legal advice on real estate, right-of-way (ROW), and capital improvement matters. You will draft and negotiate complex real estate agreements, assess development risks, and offer regulatory guidance to staff and the Board of Directors.

This role requires a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited school, a Texas State Bar license, and a minimum of three years of active practice with at least two in real estate law.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed member of the Texas State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of active legal practice, with at least 2 years in real estate law.
• Preferred: experience with municipal ordinances, zoning, permitting, rail, or utility real estate work.

Responsabilidades

• Negotiate and draft real estate and development-related agreements (leases, easements, purchase/sale agreements).
• Advise on municipal codes, zoning, and permitting requirements.
• Manage outside counsel and assess litigation risks.
• Provide legal oversight for transportation-related programs and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
