Job summary

Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks an Associate Counsel II to provide legal advice and assistance on various matters, including real estate, contractual agreements, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate must hold a Juris Doctorate, be licensed in Texas, and possess at least three years of legal practice experience, including two years focused on real estate.

This hybrid role requires collaboration and oversight in legal matters affecting public transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of active practice of law, including two (2) years of real estate experience.
• Experience with municipal ordinances and regulations, including city permitting and zoning laws preferred.
• Experience with rail or utilities real estate work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and assistance to CapMetro staff and Board Members.
• Conduct complex legal research and prepare legal opinions.
• Draft and review a wide range of legal documents.
• Advise on legal matters impacting CapMetro’s programs and operations.
