Job summary

CapMetro is seeking an experienced Associate Counsel II to provide legal advice on real estate and related matters. The successful candidate will draft, negotiate, and manage legal agreements while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

A Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and a member of the Texas State Bar is required, along with experience in real estate law. This role is office-based and requires the ability to perform various physical tasks throughout the workday.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of active legal practice, including 2 years of real estate experience.
• Familiarity with municipal ordinances and regulations.
• Experience in rail or utilities real estate work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise staff on legal matters and compliance with laws.
• Draft and review legal documents including contracts and agreements.
• Lead negotiations for real estate agreements and acquisitions.
• Manage litigation risks and oversee outside counsel.
