This position is located at District 1 in Duluth and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy, business need, and discussion with their supervisor.
This position is responsible for conducting direct purchase activities throughout District 1 in a timely manner and in accordance with the Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 and its amendments; Minnesota State statutes; and all policies and procedures established by the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The right-of-way activities include both partial and total acquisitions associated with a variety of property classifications, including commercial, residential (single & multi-family), agricultural, and industrial real estate. In addition, the position will assist the Principal Engineer with associated tasks including but not limited to consultant management and property management.
Additionally, this position provides assistance in the administration of the Relocation Program for MnDOT and/or other agencies when MnDOT acts as their agent. It is imperative that the incumbent of this position has a strong understanding of the Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act of l970 and its amendments.
