Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Portfolio Management Associate to join our institutional real estate investment management team in Austin. The role sits at the intersection of investing, asset management, capital markets, finance, and investor reporting, overseeing fund- and portfolio-level analytics and performance reporting across a large residential platform.

Proven experience with fund- and portfolio-level financial models.
Experience in distribution waterfalls, promote structures, and capital accounts.
Strong financial modeling and scenario/sensitivity analysis skills.
Knowledge of fund and joint venture structures (GP/LP).
Ability to translate complex financial analyses into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

Own, maintain, and enhance fund- and JV-level financial models used for investor reporting and performance analysis.
Analyze distribution waterfalls, promote structures, and partnership economics across vehicles.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to support portfolio decisions.
Produce variance and attribution analyses to identify drivers of performance.
Reconcile model outputs with operating, financial, and investor reporting data.
Establish model governance, including version control and documentation.
