Job summary

BHE Renewables is seeking a Real Estate and Permitting Specialist to manage land assets, leases, rights-of-way and mineral rights across projects. You will coordinate acquisitions, due diligence and permitting in alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have a relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and extensive knowledge of land use, real estate law, and negotiation. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Six years of experience or training in right of way, surveying principles, and contract/real estate law.
• Knowledge of real estate law, appraisal, land surveying, and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations for land-based transactions and help develop land-related strategy.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend acquisitions and divestitures.
• Supervise land-related due diligence.
• Develop policy for right of way acquisition and disposal of utility real estate.
• Determine ownership of property targeted for acquisition and manage site projects.
• Maintain contractor files and permit status, confidentiality agreements.
• Represent the company with land matters to landowners, agencies and others.
• Present to public and permitting authorities as required.
• Act as expert witness before boards or commissions.
• Evaluate leases, options, and related agreements incidental to land.
• Coordinate drafting of land-related documents and management review and approval.
