Capizzi Law Offices in Westwood, NJ, seeks an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing. The role requires meticulous organization and the ability to manage multiple files while delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidates have 3+ years in real estate paralegal work, solid knowledge of New Jersey transactions, and familiarity with title review, closing procedures, and municipal requirements;

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey residential and commercial real estate transactions.
• Familiarity with title review, municipal requirements, and closing procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate closing documents.
• Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, municipal offices, and opposing counsel.
• Order and review title commitments, surveys, municipal searches, tax information, and payoff statements.
• Coordinate inspections, certificates of occupancy, smoke detector certifications, and other closing requirements.
• Prepare closing statements, settlement documents, deeds, affidavits, and transfer documents.
• Schedule and coordinate closings while ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Track contingency dates, contractual deadlines, and post-closing matters.
• Provide administrative and paralegal support to the attorney as needed.
