Job summary

Parker Poe is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal in Raleigh, NC to support our Real Estate and Commercial Development practice. This non-exempt role reports to the Office Administrator and serves attorneys with closings, title work, and document management.

Based in our Raleigh office, you will draft closing documents, prepare statements, review descriptions, and file UCC filings as part of a collaborative team. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; associate degree acceptable.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Willingness to assist teammates during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare, and organize closing documents.
• Prepare closing statements.
• Review and plot legal descriptions.
• Prepare and file UCC financing statements and amendments.
• Coordinate document signing and closing binders.
• Acquire maps or drawings from surveyor/assessor’s office or title companies.
• Research title issues and prepare reports for title commitment and transfers.
• Conduct title examinations.
• Support title insurance and real estate transfers.
