About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our client’s growing legal team. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a deep understanding of Virginia real estate law and a background in supporting sophisticated real estate transactions—particularly within a private equity or investment-focused environment. This is a fully remote position, offering an opportunity to contribute to impactful, high-value deals across the firm’s national portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and manage documentation related to commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, lease documents, title reports, and closing materials
• Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, and local counsel to ensure smooth and timely closings
• Conduct due diligence, including review of title and survey, zoning reports, and environmental assessments
• Support internal and external counsel on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
• Maintain and track critical deal-related documents, timelines, and obligations
• Assist with entity formation and compliance matters related to real estate investments
• Provide support on escrow agreements, easements, and property management documentation
• Stay up to date on Virginia-specific real estate regulations and practices impacting the firm’s investments

Qualifications:

• 4–10 years of experience as a real estate paralegal, preferably within private equity, investment, or commercial real estate firms
• Proven experience managing real estate closings and due diligence across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on Virginia real estate
• Familiarity with title and survey review, lease abstraction, and closing coordination
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple complex deals simultaneously
• Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training preferred
